The funny part is, that they have not even moved in. Right now they are going to NYU in their second year and the intended to renovate the place while studying. Well, now they sold it already for 7,6 Mio. $.
Lets wait to find out who bought it, maybe Aron Carter.... these annoying rich youngsters!!!!

At Cebit 2005 SonyEricsson has shown off a great new line-up of accessories. They all look really great and the coolest one I am showing you here: the Robocam.
One can actually control the robocam via your cellphone and at the same time there is a camera in the robot. So one can actually see the pictures that the robocam records on his cellphone. Lets go spy!!!

The japanese Design Firm +d has come up with a 3D frame. Basically one can now frame 3D objects like shoes or all kinds of other stuff. The idea is quite cool, but not so new.
In fact, Swatch came out with a Valentines Edition Ring with many little red hearts on them and that ring was already packaged in such a 3D frame. That was about 2 years ago. Huh?????
But still, a cool idea.

Sonos wireless MP3 player for home!!!

Sono`s came out now with a new really nice system, with which one can distribute music all over the house in several rooms and all of that wireless.
One just needs a base unit in each room, where music is wanted. Just one computer needs to be hooked up to the system for the MP3 files.
On top there is a really nice romote control with color display.
In terms of design there unit also looks great and should fit into any home.

You must all know the Swiss brand "Freitag". Usually they only use truck covers for there products. The idea was initially very original.
Now they have a new line of really nice laptop sleeves for Apple Computers. For once the design is very simple and the colors are uni and not random, as usual.
The great thing about Feitag is the endurance: their products last and are good for any weather.

Sharps is a label from New York. I have no idea, whether there products are any good, but one thing is for sure: there packaging and advertising campaign is great.
They did a really nice old style, old fashioned design and underlined that with retro pictures in there advertising campaign. Haven`t seen it so far being sold in Europe. Hopefully we can test it soon.

The times where posters where the paintings of the poor, are definitely over. Vintage posters from the 20`s and 30`s are more "in" than ever before.
Christies and other big auctioners, auction these vintage posters on a very regular basis. Prices can go up to 40000 dollars. Known artists of these posters like Cassandre, can even go up higher.

The most popular are the old travelling posters of Railways and Holiday Resorts.
Go and check out your basement, maybe you`ll find some old posters, which are nowadays definitely worth more than just the paper.

WALLY Yacht Design - AMAZING!!!

Wally is a yacht designing company, with there headquarters in Monaco (where else??).
They really are the most innovative one has seen in the past years. They make sailing and motor boats of immense quality. They also use great materials, like dark wood and aluminium.
On the picture one can see the Wally Power which has 2 turbines, which speed up this up of 36 meters length to 120km/h. Have you ever heard anything like that before? Me, neither.
Go and check out there website. They also make special editions Ski`s and some smaller more affordable boats, not many though.

Kddi, the telecom company, has a daughter company called AU. These guys are constantly working on a design project and come out with exciting new cellphones.
These days they launched the SWEETS, cute looking cellphones in colorful, candy-like cases. They look great and do not have the cheap look, all those phones have where one can change covers in order to have a more exciting color.
Go and check out the other amazing designs by AU. These guys one should watch out for and hope that they will sooner or later also launch there phones in the States and Europe.

This season the tennis shoe is being reinvented by a lot of designers. Simple white sneakers, with almost no printing or other materials on them.
On the picture you see the Y3 model of the tennis shoe. But also Adidas, Dior Homme, Hogan, Tods and others are coming out with there models concerning the tennis shoe.
Simple vintage design allways works, one just has to choose the model. But this will certainly be this summers hit.

The most exclusive ipod speakersystem!!!

After Bose has launched the Sounddock a few months ago, now there is the Concertino triode tube baseamp.
These things are entirely worked in aluminium and the tubes are open, so one can actually see them.
Now, there is clearly no good reason anymore to have a stereo or hifi system. Get the ipod and this beautiful Concertino system and you are very well equipped. The sound has also been outstanding in a few tests. The system can be purchased at Goldster-Audio and goes for (ok, thats quite a lot) 3200 Euros. This includes 2 speakers, the tube amplifier and a subwoofer and guarantees amazing sound and design.

The new numero uno!!! The Burj Dubai!!!

The Burj Dubai is new giant in the world of the Skyscrapers. Dubai is once again setting standards in a very prestigious category.
The tower has 700 appartments and they have all been sold already. for sure many celebrities bought themselves some apartments in there.
The Burj will eventually be the tallest building in the world. At least 189 stories, the SkyLounge on the 129th floor and indoor/outdoor pools on the 78th floor.
The building will most likely open in 2008.
Dubai is becoming more and more amazing, after they are already building the Palm Island and the World Islands. Lets hope that those oil pipelines keep pumping, so that the Sheiks can give us some more of this amazing stuff.

Ducas de Sartoria is a very traditional italian tailor. Lately they have become more and more famous in NYC, after having openend a shop on Madison.
You can either go to there store and let them measure you, or they send a tailor directly to your office or home to measure you.
Products range from suits (as of 1900$), Cigar Jackets (as of 1500$) including custom made cigar pockets and they even make boxers as of 150$ a piece.
So, if you need a great suit or some new boxers and want amazing quality and understated style, go to Ducas.

A new very original shop now opened in SOHO in NYC. The shop is called Operations and thats exactly what they sell.
They specialize in workers clothing. The clothes hanf from meat hooks and the changing rooms are industrial sized freezers. Trucker hats and jackets and sweaters with batches and other workers details are the most common things.
The interior of the shop is really worth a look.

ICON Miami - J.Lo already purchased

The ICON building in Miami is the new lifestyle home of many stars. The building will be finished in 2005 and after 2 years of building something amazing came out. The Skyscraper on the beach front of Miami is 129 Meters high.
It features a massive lobby designed by Philippe Starck. Other ameneties include bay front pools, a resident cafe and pool bar, fitness center, and valet parking.
The building is the usual Starck-fest of gleaming white accentuated by chandeliers and huge furniture. The location couldnt be more ideal and the giant glass windows take full advantage of the beautiful views. The Icon was Starcks first United States residential development. He also did DownTown by Starck. We reported about that earlier this week. J. Lo`s Penthouse in the ICON cost 9.9 Mio. $. That should be fine, especially after she sold her former Miami mansion for 11 Mio. $.

Faconnable - the French Ralph

Faconnable has also originally been a french brand. A few years ago the brand was sold to Nordstrom, the american high class department store giant. Once Nordstrom had bought it, the idea was to make the new "Polo Ralph Lauren" out of the brand. They have not quite achieved that yet, but its still a great brand.
The materials are of better quality than Ralph Lauren and the style and the design is less american and more french. Really a great brand with a lot of international potential.
Prices are very close to those of Polo, sometimes a bit higher.

Lollipops is a french brand which exists already since 1994, but is really only now making it outside of France.
These guys are incredibly unique and make great designs for their bags. The designs are very colorful and also always very original. Now the best part comes?
Their stuff is not even expensive. Wallets go for 20-40 € and bags can range from 25-150€. On top of that they have a nice range of all sorts of accessoires.

These Coo Clocks greet you with a farm or jungle creature. The design is already rather new and outstanding.
One can buy them in different colors and with different sounds and creatures. I am sure everyone finds one matching his/her living room.
The question though is, whether you would want something like that in your living room??
The great thing is though that the clock turns off its act when the room goes dark. So, you will not wake up in the middly of the night due to some jungle rythm in the other room. Sorry, for reporting so much about the PSP, but since it has been launched in the US this week there are a lot of things happening.
This time the first fashion accessoires are launched. Stylish and unique Sony PSP cases. The black one on the right for example is designed by MArc Jacobs. Henry Duarte designed the furry one in the middle and Baby Phat came up with a pure gold case (Bling Bling!!).
All these cases have been shown at a fashion show organized by Sony just for the PSP launch.
They are truly unique pieces and will not be going for sale....unfortunately!!

Urban outfitters is a very cool company from the US. They evolved already into a rather big chain but still only have one store in Europe. Guess where?? Yep, London. They mainly sell clothes in vintage styles and also a lot of oldschool things. They carry brands like Paul Frank, Teenage Millionaire, Adidas Original, Volcom and many others. They usually also have great stores, such as old fabric buildings or nice lofts downtown. Besides clothing they sell usually a big selection of cool living accessoires. Microzine is just a great idea. Basically everything I always write about, they sell in there stores around the UK and online. They have a great mixture of vintage clothing, limited editions, electronic gadgets, art and other great boys toys. In downtown London they have already an amazing store and soon the next one will open, apparently with a Porsche worth 1.5 Million pounds in the entrance hall. Thats besides all the other things worth seeing. If you cannot make it to London check out there online store, but be careful, they have a lot of cool stuff. It wont be easy to hold yourself back.

Kiehls - american dream in a more weird way

Kiehls is actually an american pharmacy with only one shop in NYC. They have been there since 1851.
Now, they actually relaunched the brand Kiehls and came out with a complete line of products, consisting of creams and all sorts of other cosmetics. The packaging is very stylish, because they kept it so nostalgic and oldschool.
If you are in NYC you should drop by, because the Kiehls still looks the same as 150 years ago. In the entrance room there is a huge crystal chandelier hanging down: just very stylish overall.

Bensimon is another french brand which has become more and more popular lately again, eventhough it has been arount for a while. They stand for minimalist designs and comfort is also very important to them. They concentrate on a few clothing items and on bags mainly. This year they even came out with a Yoga collection. (Whoever needs that?!) There colors are very pastell and especially nice for the summer. Go and check them out, what can you say about stylish, simple and at the same time practical gear: its great!!!

Here we have another apple accessoire. This time for the latest ipod, the ipod shuffle. Its a dock, so you have a nice place to put your shuffle when you get home.
I have to admit that the light has got something stylish, but overall its still not that nice. Lets wait a bit and hope for a nicer one. If you want to keep it simple, but absolutely need a dock just stick with the Apple original dock: its white, its simple, its like the ipods!!!
