Exclusive pics of Comme des Garcons Guerilla Store +4930!!!

During my recent visit to Berlin I could not leave without having visited the Comme des Garcons Guerilla Store. Berlin was the first location ever for this concept of Comme des Garcons and it is the only one which survived a second season. What do I mean by that?

Let me explain the concept. Comme des Garcons chooses a city and looks for a shop location. Once the shop location is chosen, the shop is used the way it is, there is no renovation, restructuring, etc. They come with boxes full of Comme des Garcons clothing, accessories and products, put them up and the store is ready. There is no sign outside, no signals on the shop windows.... nothing. It`s just there. Therefore, trust me, hardly anybody comes by these stores by chance. Usually the stores disappear as fast as they appear. After one year the products are taken out and the store closes from one day to the other. Berlin location was so popular, that they stayed in the city, but switched location after a year.

Find here some pictures trying to display what a Comme des Garcons Guerilla Store is about and especially what it is about in Berlin. Because remember... the stores are never alike!!!!

The store is located in the east of Berlin. Getting closer to the store you feel like reliving the communist times. The buildings and the whole atmosphere is very special. Not only is the CDG Guerilla Store in this area, the store it in a building with a huge banner saying Karl Marx on top. As I sais already before, there is no logo or banner, signalling the stoe.

Inside one can fnid a big range of CDG products. A lot of t-shirts and casual wear, but also some more elegant stuff is displayed. There is a nice range of the whole line-up. The whole CDG x Fred Perry collab was of course also present.

Also, a nice range of accessories was displayed. From bags, over wallets and a lot of other stuff.

One corner of the store was dedicated to the perfume line-up of CDG with nice bags coming along.

What facinated me the most was the great mix of clothing. It was not all classic, or casual, or sporty, there was everything. The people working in the store explained me that they really get constantly new products. They received the CDG x Gore Tex clothing (even a CDG x Gore Tex Blazer - amazing!!!) and now they pulled it off the shelves again. In the coming weeks the CDG x North Face clothing is expected.

As you can see, this is really exciting, especially in a location with such a strong historical background. The store fits the area, fits Berlin and does not want to be cosmopolitan like most others. CDG displays a big selection of their creative output in these stores and also offers very good prices. Sales come very often and therefore a visit is always worth it.

Berlin was the first location and will probably stick around for another while. If you cannot visit this one, maybe you can check one of the other CDG Guerilla Stores in Stockholm, Warsaw, Copenhagen, Hong Kong, Singapor, Helsinki or Ljubljana!! Find the adresses of the stores on their website. Or maybe one opens next to you any time soon. The unexpected makes it so interesting!!!

Enjoy,

David
