Recently people talk more and more about Wood Wood. The forums are packed with topics on them, people are asking where they are able to get the WoodWood gear and recently The Glade also started having a small selection of the Wood Wood collection. But there is a lot more behind Wood Wood. Now you will find out...
THE STORE
Wood Wood initiated their buisness in 2002 as a limited t-shirt label, at the same time the first Wood Wood store was opened in central Copenhagen. Here we have some pics of the store, that features many great street as well as high fashion brands.

THE PEOPLE
The founders of Wood Wood are Manager Magnus Carstensen, Graphic designer Brian Jensen and Creative director/ Designer Karl-Oskar Olsen, all MA graduates from the royal design school of Denmark. In a very short amount of time these guys have managed to really built something up.
THE BRAND
Wood Wood apparel is sold through a line of selected international stores such as Colette in Paris, iHeart in New York, Behave in London, Ships in Japan along with shops in Berlin, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Reykiavik, L.A., Melbourne etc. Furthermore, Wood Wood has contributed as creative partner on various projects in collaboration with i.e. Adidas, Nike, Maharishi, Henry Chalafant, Footlocker, Royal Danish Theatre, Nobody Beats the Beats and HuskMitNavn. In May 2005, Wood Wood opened its second shop and in August 2005, the first full Wood Wood clothing line is available in selected shops throughout the world.
Part of the A/W 05 collection is right now also available online through the Glade. Here we have now a look at the collection. The essence of the Wood Wood collection is that its supposed to be a reflection of the brands and energy that optaines the two Wood Wood stores in Copenhagen. Inspired by brands like Martin Margiela, Bernhard Willhelm, Peter Jensen, Maharishi, Kim Jones, Acronym, Surrender, Silas etc,, Wood Wood creates a mix between High end street and High end fashion.

Some great styles among the collection and I was just surprised to see how complete their collection is. 2006 will be an even bigger year for Wood Wood. Based on simple principles and recognisable elements the Wood Wood Spring 2006 collection includes approximately 70 new styles targeted respectively to men and women. A lot to look out for and we'll show that new collection as soon as possible. Now you should know what gear to get in the next few weeks.
